FILA launches best practice Marble Roadshows
Surface care specialist FILA recently hosted its first Marble Roadshow, in partnership with Cosmave, Confindustria Marmomacchine and Video Marmoteca.
The event was hosted in June at Musa — the Virtual Museum of Sculpture and Architecture of Pietrasanta (LU). Marble manufacturers, architects, interior designers and teams from specialist laboratories attended the roadshow, with content focused on the competitive technologies for stone materials.
Delegates to the industry event were welcomed by FILA’s CEO, Francesco Pettenon. The itinerary then included discussions about advances in marble protection, the use of antibacterial products and environmental sustainability. Guest speakers included Grazia Signori, Director of Testing Laboratory of Centro Servizi Marmo, and National Coordinator of the Working Group UNI / CT 033 / GL 20 “Floors and stone cladding”.
Dr. Maria Soranzo, FILA’s Head of Research and Development— along with Dr. Denis Tessaro and Dr. Paolo Zuliani from FILATech and FILAConsulting — FILAService — explored the varied discussion points. They presented best practice advice on issues faced by the audience on a regular basis. Practical demonstrations also revealed solutions to marble-related issues and stimulated lively discussion within the group, prior to an indepth Q&A session.
