A RAPID SET IN ALL SEASONS WITH NEW KERAQUICK EASY S1
Mapei has launched the new Keraquick Easy S1 – a rapid-setting flexible cementitious flooring adhesive for ceramic, porcelain and moisture-stable stone and mosaic tiles. The new adhesive is ideal for fast-track renovations of heavy trafficked areas and for rapid installations across commercial and domestic settings, both internally and externally – from public buildings and industrial plants, to bathrooms and balconies.
Fast and cost-effective, Keraquick Easy S1 can be used to install tiles onto most floor substrates, including cement-based and prepared calcium sulphate-based screeds, concrete, plywood overlaid floors, existing unglazed ceramic floor tiles and tile-backer boards. It can also be used for installations with underfloor and undertile heating systems and for non-absorbent floor tiles over existing floors. Product features include excellent wetting out capabilities, making it ideal for the installation of large format tiles. It can also be used to complete installations during the autumn/winter and, once sufficiently cured, on days where night-time temperatures drop below +5°c.
This new rapid setting adhesive allows floor tiles to be grouted, and to accept light foot traffic after just two hours. Floors can be returned to full service after 24 hours and can accept heavy duty use, for example, cherry pickers, after a minimum 7-day cure.
