NATIONAL CAREERS WEEK AND OTHER CELEBRATIONS

From Monday 4th–Saturday 9th March, National Careers Week (NCW) 2024 aims to support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways by highlighting careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. Students and educators can access free CEIAG resources (careers, education, information and guidance), which are also available all year round.

NCW coincides with International Women’s Day this year on Friday 8th March, which is an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievement and take action to drive gender parity.

Additionally, the week is also marked by Scottish Apprenticeship Week (Monday 4th–Friday 8th March). Members in Scotland are encouraged to get involved and promote their apprenticeships. The Scottish construction sector needs to recruit almost 20,000 new entrants, and Build UK’s guide sets out how apprenticeships might suit different employers and individuals.
