NEW TILE DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS FROM VERSATILE
Versatile Distribution Ltd launched its business in April to coincide with non essential retail show rooms re-opening to the general public. The company was founded by Directors Paul Strachan, Pete Brambleby and Gavin Spencer, all of whom have a wealth of experience in the tile industry. Ranges have been sourced from across Europe and merchandised at their unit in Kettering.
Managing Director Paul Strachan is excited to get things moving after what has been a long and frustrating period due to lockdown restrictions.
Paul says: “The lockdown restrictions have massively affected our ability to engage with customers but since show rooms re-opened it’s been full steam ahead and our plans can finally begin to materialise”.
Sales Director Pete Brambleby has been in the industry for more than 30 years, working for the likes of Granfix, Rockford Stone, Capitol Tiles and Walls & Floors along the way. Pete says: “I’ve always given 100% to the companies I’ve worked for, but it’s really exciting to do something for myself after all these years. The initial customer support has been really encouraging and feedback on the products is also really positive.”
As you’d expect, the company has plans for growth and expansion over the coming years, but is determined to ensure customer service remains at the heart of everything they do. Commercial Director Gavin Spencer says: “I have relationships with both customers and suppliers that go back many years. The mutual respect that has been built is really important to the success of our new venture. Our customers are typically honest, hard working people who rely on a supply chain that has their best interests at heart, and we aim to be at the forefront of that supply chain for years to come.”
