NORCROS ADHESIVES STRENGTHENS SALES TEAM TO SUPPORT CONTINUING GROWTH

Norcros Adhesives, manufacturer of a wide range of preparation, fixing and finishing products for tiling and flooring installation, is restructuring its sales team to support ongoing growth and strengthen the brand’s presence in all regions of the UK.

Rob Kyle, sales director

“The recent hard work of our sales team has led to some key account gains for Norcros, and our innovative new tiling solutions, such as Pro Gyp Base for tiling on to anhydrite screeds, are proving highly successful in the marketplace,” says Norcros Adhesives sales director Rob Kyle. “I am happy to report therefore that our sales are significantly up on last year and we are exceeding budget. We are restructuring the sales force to handle this growth and to maximise the effectiveness of our customer service in all parts of the country.

“Many of our sales team have been with us for ten years or more and have fantastic levels of experience of the business and this industry. I am delighted that we have the highest calibre people to enable us to fill these important sales roles within the company.”

Nick Bratt is now national specification and housebuilders manager. Nick has been with the company for 14 years, on the specification side for the last three. The housebuilding sector is now a large and growing area for the company, as well as being one of the stronger sectors of the construction market generally. So having someone with Nick’s level of experience in charge of this sector will enable the company to strengthen its offering.

Darren Tunnicliff, resilient business manager

Darren Tunnicliff, who has been with the company for 12 years, firstly as an area sales manager and then a regional sales manager, is appointed as resilient business manager. This is a new role within the company, reflecting the fact that resilient flooring is now identified as an important growth area for the business. Darren’s role will also include developing the company’s new partnership with Headlam, the largest distributor of resilient flooring products in the UK.

Jon Hall, who has been with the company for six years, is promoted to regional sales manager for the southwest. Meanwhile Wayne Phipps, who has been with Norcros for nine years, is promoted to regional sales manager for the southeast. Both have been in the tiling sector all their working careers and started out with Norcros as area sales managers. Both have exceeded expectations in their previous roles. “We are delighted to be able to reward these guys with these well-deserved promotions,” says Rob Kyle.

Stepping up to fill the area sales role in the southwest is Nik Spooner, who has joined the company, bringing a wealth of tiles and adhesives experience. His geographic remit also includes the Midlands.

Overseeing sales across the southern region is newly appointed southern business development manager Graham Hayes. He has 13 years experience with Norcros, having previously been an area sales manager, then a regional sales manager. His role now includes all sales channels in the south.

Michael Hall, northern business development manager

His opposite number in the north is Michael Hall, who has career-long expertise in the adhesives industry. Norcros Adhesives recognises that the north of England and Scotland are areas where future growth is an important opportunity, and establishing the brand in the north will be a key element of Michael’s new role. He will additionally have responsibility for developing sales into the resilient flooring sector.

“We have a really great team in place,” says Rob Kyle. “Of course the market remains challenging in a number of areas, but we are confident that we can continue to outperform the market, diversify into new sectors and strengthen brand presence in all parts of the country.”
