Paul Koerner was a well-known character in the tile industry from the late 1970s into the 1990s.  During that time, Paul worked for Nicobond before becoming National Sales Manager with Building Adhesives. Paul also set up BAL Malaysia in the 1980s before starting Dural UK Ltd in Wakefield with his long-standing colleague, John King.  

Either side of his time in the tile industry, Paul ran a guest house in Devon, worked in the fashion industry and ran his own rattan furniture business.  Paul spent the last 18 years of his life living with his wife, Kusmirah, in Kuala Lumpur and latterly in Ferndown, Dorset.  His funeral was held in Bournemouth on 22^nd October.  He leaves three daughters, a son and an adopted son.
