SKILLBUILD 2021 NATIONAL FINALS
TTA recently attended SkillBuild 2021 along with TTA members – Nicobond, Schlüter-Systems and BAL – who supported the competition with materials. SkillBuild is the largest multi-trade skills competition in the UK for construction trainees and apprentices which comprises a series of competitions. It sees the very best in a range of disciplines compete against each other to be crowned a winner in their chosen trade. Competitors are tested on their technical abilities, their time management, character and commitment.
David Rowley, Chairman of the TTA’s Training Committee, was in attendance as a judge and TTA sponsored a trophy for the Stretch Test in the Wall and Floor Tiling Category. Aaron Brady from Leeds College of Building won the TTA-sponsored Stretch Test and was awarded his certificate by Dave Rowley. TTA were also a sponsor of the Wall and Floor Tiling Category.
A huge congratulations to Aaron Gillespie from Southern Regional College who won gold in the Wall and Floor Tiling Category at SkillBuild 2021! TTA was pleased to present a cheque to the gold, silver and bronze winners of the Wall and Floor Tiling Category.
