Verona relocates head office to accommodate a growing number of employees

Following a large-scale warehouse move last year, Verona has once again invested in its infrastructure, relocating its head office to a state-of-the-art premises at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

As a distributor of tiles, mosaics, flooring and outdoor porcelain, Verona has enjoyed a sustained period of growth, resulting in the need for a new head office to accommodate its growing support team.

Thorpe Park is home to a variety of commercial and retail businesses and has a promising development plan which includes transport links and housing estates, which currently makes it one of the most ‘up and coming’ areas of Leeds.

At a very sizeable 10,000 square feet, the new Verona HQ took 12 weeks to complete. Developed by Design Tonic, the open plan office provides space for almost 100 people, allowing for a safe working environment following the pandemic. The office comes complete with eight meeting rooms, an amphitheatre style area designed for presenting, 10 private offices, a large kitchen and plenty of screen-free spaces for staff to take breaks and chat with colleagues.

With staff welfare of high importance for Verona, the social areas were of particular priority to ensure employees are happy, comfortable and have a space away from their desks for some well-deserved free time.

Katy Black, Marketing Director at Verona comments: “The new office is fantastic and a huge step forward for the business. Now we are all able to return safely, we hope this will give everyone an extra spring in their step when coming into work and reflect our people first culture. Our working environment has been completely modernised making it a far more inviting and exciting place to be.”

“This move represents just how much we have grown as a brand. We now have 70 people based at our head office, all of whom play an essential part in our success. We have upgraded our warehouse and distribution facility, expanded our teams and entered the world of flooring. We all can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store.”
