TILING SHOW 2023 – ONCE AGAIN A SUCCESS FOR THE INDUSTRY
The recent Tiling Show, held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the day of TTA Awards, was once again a great success.
Sponsored by tiling tools manufacturer BIHUI, The Tiling Show grew again this year in terms of the number of exhibitors and also the wide breadth of visitors from the industry. The Show is now firmly established as a ‘must attend’ event in the tiling industry’s annual calendar.
With an increase in space enabling the refreshments to be sold from within the exhibition hall, the Show was also easier and more pleasant to visit this year.
As in previous years, the demonstration area was a highlight, with exhibitors taking the opportunity to preview their most important new product launches and market initiatives.
“I want to thank everyone who attended The Tiling Show, which I am delighted to say has now established itself as an essential and enjoyable fixture in the industry’s annual calendar,” says Paul Luff, TTA Chairman.
His comments were echoed by Scott Hatton, Technical Sales Support Manager at JACKOBOARD, who said: “It was great to be able to meet people and put faces to names – 100% we’ll be doing the Show again next year.”
Michael Gadney, Sales Director at Show sponsor BIHUI, said: “The industry really needs a good tiling show and this has grown into quite a special show for us. It’s busy and energetic – all the things that we look for. We would like to sponsor again next year, if the opportunity is there for us, since this show has become so important for our development in the UK. We fully support TTA and want to get behind it as much as we can.”
Will Dolling, National Sales Manager at Genesis Global Systems Ltd, said: “The Show has gone very well for us. We’ve seen a number of existing and potential customers, but also tiling contractors, who we don’t so often get to speak to.”
Steve Ball, Commercial Director at Palace Chemicals, said: “This event is really good for us and for all suppliers because of the interaction that you get with tilers, which you don’t normally have. It also gives us a great platform to be able to get news out about the company, which is great for us, as we have a lot going on in the business at the moment.”
According to Shaun Cardwell of Nicobond, the Show gets better and better each year. “Not only is the Show great for us, but we feel it’s important to support the industry, to support our colleagues and to support TTA.”
Lynne Flavell, Campaign Manager from UltraTile, said: “We have really enjoyed the day, with a very good mix of visitors to the stand – retailers and tilers. We’ll be back!”
Charlie Burrowes, Account Manager of STS, said that their stand saw a lot more tile fixers this year. “That’s been great for us because we have been launching more products for the trade.”
“There’s no other event for the tiling industry on this scale which gets this many brands and this level of interaction, so it’s a really important event,” says George Skipper, Area Sales Manager for Amber Underfloor Heating.
