‘YOUNGER BLOOD’ FOR PALACE CHEMICALS SALES TEAM

Liverpool-based Palace Chemicals has taken on a 29-year-old area sales manager for Essex as part of its continuous expansion of the sales team.

Michael Younger is bringing some fresh new ideas along with a wealth of experience to the Essex sales team, helping to strengthen and push the brand forward. In his previous roles Michael has managed areas that have turned over in excess of £1.5 million.

“I have been a sales manager for the last seven years and have covered a range of different sectors within the flooring industry,” says Michael, “working with small independent businesses right the way up to the one of the UK’s largest distribution companies.”

Having worked for Bruce Starke, Rackhams Ltd. and Anderson Grant, Michael has a proven track record in the industry, with a focus on flooring and matting solutions.

“I do have a range of ideas that I’m hoping to bring to this role”, he says. “Palace Chemicals are one step ahead of the competition already with some new and exciting ranges in the pipeline, so along with my previous experience in the flooring and contract sector I’m hoping to bring in a lot of business from new customers who will be interested in these ranges.”

Michael puts his success down to the reputation that he has built for himself in the flooring industry through hard work and determination, demonstrated by his strong record of hitting targets and securing new business.

Palace Chemicals Ltd is already the largest independent manufacturer of tile adhesives and building products currently operating in the UK and this appointment will further help the company strengthen and expand its position.

When talking about Michael’s appointment, commercial director Steve Ball says: “Michael was taken on as ASM for the Essex area, selling the full portfolio for the Palace Chemicals (and associated) brands. Michael has joined Palace to further strengthen the sales team and the company’s presence in the marketplace.

“Michael brings with him a wealth of sales experience, having worked for Headlam and more recently, Bruce Stark. As such, dealing with customers he has previously worked with, which will give him a fantastic head start. I am delighted to welcome Michael to the team and I’m sure that he will quickly grow some great customer relationships and make the area his own”
